Description
a pair of ash wood salad servers i carved for my ex-girlfriends grandparents. the top one is ment to resemble a ginko tree leaf. its the first time i carved a double helix into anything! (those are ment to be birds and flowers carved into the handles, not the sort of thing i would usually choose to carve! but what the customer wants the customer gets! -_- *mumbles* snakes would have looked way better!!) all in all not my best work, but i was pleased with the outcome none the less!

Looks like very good carving skill. I wonder which tools you used.
The photo could be better though.
I know it is not easy to make a photo of a carving like that without much contrast in itself, having atificial light and a background with much more contrast.
